Custom Skin Support
Custom skins are a great way to express yourself in Minecraft, but certain restrictions apply when playing on the WoA server. Below, you’ll find details about supported skin types and important policy changes.

Custom Geometry Skins
On March 30, 2020, Microsoft introduced new technical and policy changes affecting custom skins in Minecraft multiplayer. These changes apply to skins with custom geometry, often referred to as "4D Skins" by the community.
What Is Affected?
Blocked: Skins with custom geometry (e.g., extra-large, extra-small, or uniquely shaped skins). Players attempting to use these skins will appear as wearing one of our Marketplace skins.
Not Affected:
Marketplace Skins
WoA Costumes
Regular Alex/Steve retextures
Capes
WoA continues to apply filters to skins on the server. While other servers may allow custom geometry skins, they will be blocked on WoA to ensure fair gameplay and avoid potential abuse.
Important Note
This is a Microsoft policy and is not subject to change or debate with WoA staff.
Persona (Character Creator) Skins
As of January 2021, Persona (Character Creator) skins are disabled on WoA. This decision was made to improve server performance and reduce lag for all players.
How Does This Work?
Players joining WoA while using a Persona skin will automatically appear as wearing one of our Marketplace skins.
Future Plans
We hope to re-enable Persona skins in the future, pending performance improvements on Minecraft's side. Until then, we appreciate your understanding and patience.
Conclusion
We understand the importance of customization to your Minecraft experience and strive to maintain a balance between performance, fairness, and creativity. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to our support team. Thank you for understanding!
