1. Acceptance and Changes
By accessing or using WoA (the "Site"), available at playwoa.com, or the associated game server at play.woastation.com (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
WoA is operated by [[OPERATOR_LEGAL_NAME]] ([[OPERATOR_TYPE]]), based in [[OPERATOR_COUNTRY_STATE]] ("we," "us," or "our").
WoA is an independent fan and community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hytale or Hypixel Studios.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are in the EU and under 16, you need parental or guardian consent.
- You may create one account per person. Account information must be accurate.
- You can log in via Discord OAuth or Sign in with Hytale (HyAuth). One account may link multiple login identities and an in-game Hytale profile.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account, including actions taken through a linked Hytale profile.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to do any of the following on the Site or the game server:
- Harassment, hate speech, or threats — including discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, or disability.
- Illegal or NSFW content — do not post, share, or link to anything illegal or sexually explicit.
- Cheating and exploiting — no hacks, cheat clients, x-ray, unauthorised mods, macros, or other exploits. If you find a bug, report it; do not abuse it.
- Real-money trading — do not buy, sell, or trade in-game items, accounts, or currencies for real money.
- Advertising and spam — no unsolicited promotion, spam, or chain messages.
- Impersonation — do not impersonate other players, staff, or any other person or organisation.
- Ban evasion — creating or using alternate accounts to bypass a ban or suspension is prohibited.
- Attacking infrastructure — no scraping, automated access, DDoS, security probing, or any attempt to interfere with the Service's operation.
- Offensive names — usernames, guild names, faction names, and similar identifiers must not be offensive, misleading, or impersonate others.

4. User Content and Licence
You may post content through the Service, including profile information, usernames, guild and faction names and descriptions, builds, messages, and other submissions ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
We may moderate, edit, or remove any User Content at our discretion. Nothing you post on the Service is treated as private or confidential.

5. Virtual Items and Progress
Ranks, skills, currencies, guild and faction status, achievements, and any other in-game items or perks ("Virtual Items") have no real-world monetary value. Virtual Items are licensed to you, not owned by you, and may be changed, reset, or removed at any time (for example, at the end of a season, after a server reset, or as a result of a ban).
No payments are taken through the Service at this time. If paid features are introduced in the future, a separate Refund Policy will apply.
6. Moderation and Enforcement
We may take action against any account or user at our discretion, including but not limited to: issuing warnings, muting, kicking, temporarily or permanently banning, removing content, and terminating accounts.
If you believe an action was taken in error, you may appeal through [[APPEALS_CHANNEL]].

7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms:
- Discord — used for login (OAuth) and community features. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's Terms of Service.
- Hytale / HyAuth — used for login and profile linking. Your use of Hytale accounts is governed by Hytale's own terms.
We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- We are not responsible for User Content posted by other users.
- We are not responsible for loss of in-game progress, data, or Virtual Items.
- Gameplay experiences, voice chat, and interactions with other players are at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by [[GOVERNING_LAW]], our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose (which, as of now, is zero, since no payments are taken).
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by [[GOVERNING_LAW]].
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [[GOVERNING_LAW]]. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [[JURISDICTION]].
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
