Quests

7 min read

Orbis never leaves you wondering "what now?" From the moment you arrive in the Central District, the world has work for you — a steward with a request, a profession ladder to climb, a daily errand worth your time, a frontier that needs supplies. Quests are the thread that runs through everything: they teach you the server, guide you through your skills, fill your purse, and point you toward the next adventure. Some are quiet five-minute jobs. Some are long, story-driven chains that unfold across the whole world. All of them mean something.

Why quests matter

A quest is never just busywork. Every one answers a simple question — why does Orbis need this done? A steward needs stone to rebuild. A guild needs ore for the forge. The frontier needs supplies before the next War Season. Following these requests is the fastest, most rewarding way to learn the world, level your skills, and build a name for yourself.

You can take quests at your own pace and play entirely solo if you like. The early chains are designed to be completed alone, while the deeper group and seasonal content waits for you when you are ready for it.

They teach the world

The opening chain walks you through chat, mining, crafting, fighting, claiming land and more — one new thing at a time.

They power your skills

Profession quests push you up your chosen skills and reward real progression, not just coin.

They drive the economy

Turn-ins, contracts and trade quests keep gold flowing and goods moving across Orbis.

They lead to war

Story and preparation quests guide you from the safe heart of the world out toward the contested frontier.

How quests work

Open your Quest Book at any time to see what is available, what you are working on, and what is locked behind progress you have not yet made. Quests are sorted into clear categories so you always know where to look — onboarding, professions, story, daily and weekly errands, and more.

  1. Open your Quest Book to browse what is on offer, grouped by category.
  2. Accept a quest to make it active — you can carry several at once and track them.
  3. Work toward the objective: mine, craft, hunt, gather, turn in items, or visit the right place.
  4. Watch your progress fill in live with on-screen notifications as you go.
  5. Claim your reward the moment the objective is complete, then move on to whatever it unlocks next.
Pin a quest to your on-screen tracker so its objective and progress stay visible while you play. No more guessing how many more you need — the count is always in the corner of your eye.

Many quests are chained: finishing one reveals the next, so a storyline unfolds step by step. Others have prerequisites — they stay locked until you have completed an earlier quest or reached a certain skill level, which keeps your journey in a sensible order and saves the big moments for when you are ready.

Quests follow the world

Where you are shapes the quests you find. In the Central District — the safe, protected heart of Orbis — quests teach you the ropes, help you settle a personal home plot, and ease you into trade. Out in the Wild Regions, quests reward exploration, gathering, and the guild outposts that rise on the frontier. And in the contested War Territories, seasonal quests fuel the fight for control.

War Preparation and Seasonal quests belong to the War Seasons cycle. The first full season is still in preparation (Season 0). Here is how it will work: when a season opens, factions take on supply lines and frontier objectives to gain an edge across the War Territories. More on this as the season approaches.

Your first hour: the Welcome chain

New to Orbis? The Welcome chain is your front door. A single guide greets you at spawn and walks you through the server one step at a time — and because each step hands you straight to the next, you never have to wonder where to go.

  • Say hello and get your bearings — plus your first tool and a little coin.
  • Break your first blocks and learn to mine.
  • Craft your first item and use a workbench.
  • Face your first foes and earn a starter weapon.
  • Complete a turn-in request to learn how trading goods works.
  • Set a home and stake your very first personal plot in the Central District.
  • Open the wider world — your Paths and the story of Orbis await.

By the end of the chain you are equipped, housed, and pointed at everything that comes next — your professions, the story of Orbis, and the daily rhythm of the world. No wall of filler, no confusion. Just a clear, exciting start.

Rewards

Quests pay you in more than coin. The most valuable rewards are the ones that move you forward — skill progress, mastery titles, and unlocks you carry for the rest of your journey. Gold is real and useful, but it is the spice, not the whole meal.

GoldEarned from milestones and trade; paired with turn-ins so the economy stays healthy.
ItemsTools, weapons, food and supplies — especially generous early on.
Skill progressProfession quests push your skills up the 1–100 ladder.
TitlesPrestige tags that show off what you have mastered.
Land & accessClaim tools and unlocks, earned as one-time rewards.
DiscoveryLore, secrets and bragging rights from hidden quests.

The richest rewards in Orbis are earned once and kept forever — a Grandmaster title, a mastery unlock, a permanent step up your skill ladder. These cap the top of a profession and cannot simply be farmed, so they always mean something when you see one on another player.

Chasing a Mastery Cape? Your profession quest ladder is the most direct road to level 100 in a skill — and the legendary cape that comes with it.

How quests guide your journey

Think of quests as a path through Orbis that you are never forced down but always glad to follow. The Welcome chain teaches the world. The story carries you through its lore. Your chosen Paths — explorer, artisan, merchant and beyond — turn into deep profession ladders. Daily and weekly errands give you a reason to log in. And as you grow, the world opens outward: guild work, regional requests, and eventually the seasonal fight for the frontier.
